Top 10 Japanese Pokémon Cards by PSA 10 Premium (Oct 30, 2026)

Published October 30, 2026 ・ Data as of 2026-10-30 05:45 JST ・ Huaqi Future Co., Ltd.

All figures come from our market data as updated at 05:45 JST on October 30, 2026, compared with the same data for October 23 and September 30. They are reference prices from third-party sales, not our selling prices. Our views are for reference only and are not investment advice.

How the premium is measured

In this article, the premium is the latest PSA 10 price divided by the latest mint price, rounded to two decimal places. We cover the TOP100 in our market data, the 100 Japanese-edition Pokémon cards with the highest latest prices, and include only cards with at least three sales records for both mint and PSA 10 copies. On October 30, all 100 cards met that condition. The three-record rule keeps a single sale from distorting the ratio for a card.

A high premium means that copies graded PSA 10 are valued far above ungraded mint copies; a low premium means the two sell for similar amounts. The “premium 7 days ago” column applies the same calculation to the data for October 23, and the TOP100 rank is the card’s position on our market pages. We corrected the import of mint-category data on October 25, so the premiums in our October 16 article on the same theme cannot be compared directly with the figures here.

What the top ten have in common

At #1, ブラッキー (188/BW-P) has a latest mint price of ¥45,000 against a PSA 10 price of ¥815,926, a premium of 18.13 times. That is down from 25.9 times a week earlier, but still well ahead of the 11.11 times at #2. Its mint side has only 17 sales records, the fewest of the ten, so its premium is especially sensitive to where the latest mint price happens to sit.

By the code in the card number, five are SM-P (#2, #4, #5, #8 and #9) and one is BW-P (#1), so promo cards make up six of the ten. The other four are two CP6 cards (#6 and #10) and one card each from XY10 and XY. No card with a set code beginning with M appears. By card name, ポンチョを着たイーブイ takes four places (137, 141, 139 and 143/SM-P), and ブラッキー and ブラッキーEX one each, so Eevee and Umbreon cards account for six of the ten.

Compared with a week earlier, three premiums rose, four fell and three were unchanged. The three that rose were ポンチョを着たイーブイ (139/SM-P), from 6.38 to 8.79 times, こわいおねえさん (XY 184/171), from 5.68 to 7.54 times, and ピカチュウEX (CP6 094/087), from 6.35 to 6.58 times. Their 7-day PSA 10 changes were +37.69%, +4.2% and +3.54% respectively. All ten show a 7-day mint change of ±0.00%.

Our view The three cards whose premiums rose all posted 7-day PSA 10 gains, while all ten showed a 7-day mint change of ±0.00%. We think the gap widened because buyers moved into PSA 10 copies, rather than because mint prices fell. In eight of the ten, PSA 10 sales records outnumber mint records, and six of the ten are promo cards that are never restocked; we think graded copies have become the main way these numbers trade. For collectors holding PSA 10 copies, this is supportive. If five or more of the top ten show a mint price move in the November 6 update, we think the premium is likely entering a stage of narrowing.

The median premium and the cards with the smallest gap

The median premium across the TOP100 was 2.3 times on September 30, 3.2 times on October 23 and 3.45 times on October 30, each calculated over 100 cards. It widened from late September to late October and rose again over the past week, so the extra value placed on a PSA 10 copy is clearly larger than a month ago.

The five cards with the smallest premiums are サンダースVMAX (188/S-P) at 1.08 times, ピカチュウ (400/SM-P) at 1.11 times, ブースターVMAX (186/S-P) at 1.23 times, リザードンEX (276/XY-P) at 1.36 times and ゲンガーVMAX (SGG 020/019) at 1.62 times. Their latest mint prices range from ¥225,000 to ¥950,000, far above the ¥45,000 to ¥200,000 range of the top ten. The more a card is already valued as an ungraded mint copy, the smaller the extra a PSA 10 grade adds.

For リザードンEX (276/XY-P), mint rose +18.06% over 7 days while PSA 10 fell -11.72%, and the premium narrowed from 1.81 times a week earlier to 1.36 times. ゲンガーVMAX (SGG 020/019) has the most sales records of the five, 1,488 for mint and 3,050 for PSA 10, and its premium has barely moved from 1.64 times a week earlier.

Our view The five lowest-premium cards all have latest mint prices of ¥225,000 or more. We think the PSA 10 grade adds little because their value is already priced in at the ungraded stage. The narrowing for リザードンEX (276/XY-P) came from mint catching up rather than from PSA 10 copies losing value. For submitters, the extra value of a PSA 10 grade therefore depends heavily on the mint price band of the card. We see this two-tier structure persisting. If 276/XY-P returns to 1.81 times within 2 weeks, by November 13, we will treat the mint-led move as temporary.

Points to keep in mind

  • The premium compares two latest prices and can change sharply on a single sale. Each card page also shows the high, average and low prices and the number of records.
  • A 7-day mint change of ±0.00% may mean that no new price was recorded during the week. As with ブラッキー (188/BW-P), a premium can still differ from a week earlier even when the 7-day change shows ±0.00%.
  • Only cards in the TOP100 are included; cards outside it are not part of the calculation.

Our overall view

We see the PSA 10 premium on high-value Japanese cards at a stage where it keeps widening while mint copies have stopped trading. The median premium rose from 2.3 times on September 30 to 3.2 times on October 23 and 3.45 times on October 30. The main driver is the PSA 10 side: every one of the top ten showed a 7-day mint change of ±0.00%. Six of the top ten are promo cards, and none carries a set code beginning with M. For numbers that are never restocked, mint sales are thin and the value placed on graded copies sets the price, which is why their premiums are the widest. Cards with mint prices of ¥225,000 or more make up the five lowest premiums, so the premium splits clearly by price band.

Over the next 2–4 weeks, we think premiums are likely to stay high. The biggest uncertainty is whether mint sales resume. If mint prices start moving again for the top ten and the median falls below the 3.2 times recorded on October 23 in a November update, we will revise our view and treat the widening as an effect of stalled mint prices rather than a real rise in the PSA 10 premium.
